Nearly all of the furniture, household goods, computers, clothing, and other essential items we distribute are donated from the community.

If you have items to donate, kindly drop them off at our Donation Centre location
and not at our emergency shelter location downtown.

GREATEST NEEDS

Winter Clothing

Winter coats: New and gently used, particularly for men

Gloves, mitts and hand warmers: To protect against freezing temperatures

Winter footwear: To provide traction and warmth

Toques: A staple for keeping heads warm during frigid days

Socks: Warm, moisture-wicking socks to protect feet from the cold

Long underwear: Cozy under layers to help folks retain body heat

Hygiene Products

Chap stick: To help avoid cracked lips in the cold

Hand lotion: To combat dry skin in winter

Combs: A small but important item

Deodorant: Personal hygiene items are critical for maintaining health and dignity

Tissue, small packs: Most important during cold and flu season

Other Items

Underwear: For men and women

Thinner blankets: Ideal for layering to maximize comfort

Reusable water bottles and coffee mugs: For those on the go

Tim Hortons gift cards: A warm drink or snack on a cold day

As a community, our impact improved the lives of so many. Between April 1, 2022 and March 31, 2023:

  • We helped a total of 10,846 people (including children and household members) access furniture and other household goods.
  • We had 22,393 visits to our Clothing Room.
  • We distributed 275,069 items. 
  • We collaborated with 130 agencies and outreach groups to ensure the whole community was covered.
  • We worked together with Calgarians to give their much-needed items a second life and keep these items from the landfill.
